DESCRIPTION:The Bristol Acro Weekend is a community event taking place twice a year in the Spring and Autumn. We welcome hobbyists and professionals from across the UK to come together and participate in a wide range of partner and group acrobatics\, ranging from acroyoga to circus to icarian to dance. \n\n🤸🏽WHO IS IT FOR?\nAnyone with an interest in acrobatics / circus / acroyoga. These events are multi-level and multi-interest: some people enjoy dabbling with acro as a fun way to connect with others\, others are professional artists and athletes. If you like having fun and working together\, you’ll fit right in! \n🤸🏽HOW DOES IT WORK?\nEach day has two\, 90-minute workshop rounds with a choice of various acro styles and levels. The classes offer structured learning and a facilitated way to connect with others. \nThe rest of the time is dedicated to free training\, skill-share\, and play in the fully-equipped gymnastics centre! \n📍LOCATION:\nBoth days take place at City of Bristol Gymnastics Centre\, BS13 0RF: a fully equipped gymnastics venue with sprung floors\, matted floors\, crash mats\, multiple lunge lines\, a trampoline\, and a foam pit. \nSCHEDULE\nSaturday\n13:15 Registration\n13:30 Warm Up\n14:00 Workshop 1 (3-4 options)\n16:00 Workshop 2 (3-4 options)\n18:00 Dinner Break\n18:00 Jam\n21:00 Close \nSunday\n09:45 Registration\n10:00 Warm Up\n10:15 Workshop 3 (3-4 options)\n12:00 Lunch Break\n13:00 Scratch Show\n13:30 Workshop 4 (3-4 options)\n15:00 Jam\n18:00 Event ends \n💰COST:\nBristol Acro Weekend aims to make acro financially accessible to everyone. \nIt runs on a contribution-based format\, made possible thanks to the generosity of the community – who offer to lead workshops\, look out for others\, and overall create a positive\, welcoming space. \nParticipant Tickets are £65 for the weekend or £35 for a single day. \nTeaching tickets are £20 (a reduction of £45 per workshop). \nIf you’d like to teach a workshop at the event (or have another offering or idea) please get in touch at mm.acrobatics@gmail.com. \nFOOD / ACCOMMODATION:\nFood and accommodation are not included. SUMMARY:H2H Weekend Intensive with Tom the Acrobat | 16 – 17th January 2027
DESCRIPTION:This weekend workshop is all about strong Hand to Hand and Foot to Hand technique\, with a mix of solid foundations\, tempos\, high-level statics\, dynamics and fun entrances and exits. \nTom’s teaching style combines clear technical explanations\, lots of drills and practical progressions\, with a strong focus on understanding how and why a skill works. Find out more about Tom at his website or instagram. \nThe workshop is aimed at intermediate to advanced acrobats. We’ll work on making your main positions cleaner and more efficient\, improving your timing\, and understanding how to build more difficult skills through clear progressions. \nContent will be adapted to the group\, based on the skill and technical requests that you make when booking. Alongside planned material\, there will also be time for wishes\, individual feedback and specific tricks you want to work on. \nWorkshop Content\n\nTempos\nDrills and progressions\nStatic & dynamic tricks\nFunky entrances & exits\nIndividual feedback\nSpace for wishes\n\nPre-requisites\nYou should be comfortable with: \n\n10 sec standing H2H & F2H without stepping\nPodshedshka to 2-high\nPitch to hip catch\nPush or tempo to long-arm H2H and/or F2H (no hold required)\n\nDo I need to register with a partner?\nFor this event\, registering with a partner is essential. DESCRIPTION:WELCOME TO THE NOTTINGHAM ACRO CONVENTION 2027! \nWe’re so excited to be back for our third year\, bringing you another weekend full of inspiring workshops\, playful jams\, new challenges and connection with acro communities from across the UK and beyond. \n━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ \n📍 WHERE & WHEN? \n\n\nSaturday 23rd & Sunday 24th January 2027 \nLong Eaton\, Nottingham \n━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ \n🤸 WHAT IS IT? \nThe Nottingham Acro Convention (NAC) is a two-day partner acrobatics event held in Nottingham\, UK. Across the weekend\, you’ll find a packed programme of workshops for all levels\, covering a variety of styles from Icarian and H2H to three highs and beyond\, alongside open jams and plenty of opportunities to play\, practise and connect with the wider community. \nThe inspiration behind NAC is opportunity — for everyone. An opportunity for both new and experienced teachers to share their skills and connect with a fresh community\, and an opportunity for students to step into the world of conventions within a friendly\, supportive and welcoming environment. \nThis is an opportunity for us all to meet\, move and celebrate acro together — with people from across the UK and beyond. \nWe take pride in bringing together such a loving community. You can register your interest below\, with places offered in registration order. \nAcross the NAC27 weekend\, we’ll run 7 workshop rounds over two days\, all held at the same venue. The beautiful gymnasium is on the ground floor\, with several floor areas. Also on the ground floor\, there are plenty of bathrooms\, drinkable water and a viewing/quiet area. \nUpstairs\, there is another viewing area which we will also use as a food area. There are also more toilets and spaces to get changed. \n━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ \n🍎 CATERING \nThe event will not include food\, but there are corner shops on the street and larger supermarkets within a 10-minute walk. There are also plenty of fast-food options and restaurants surrounding the venue\, as we are in the heart of Long Eaton town centre. \nWe’ll have food trucks on site on Saturday evening from 7:30–9pm\, with food available to purchase directly from them\, including vegan and gluten-free options. \nWe’re also hoping to have food trucks available during Sunday’s lunch break — more details to come! \nAs always\, we’ll have a food-share table with nibbles provided\, which you can pick from and/or add your own sharing snacks to. \n━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ \n🛏️ ACCOMMODATION \nWe are not providing accommodation for the weekend. \nIf you are local and happy to accommodate any number of people\, please let us know and we will offer these spaces to those who would benefit from somewhere to stay. If you are not local and interested in this option\, please keep an eye on the Facebook page for spare beds\, or contact us directly if you would prefer. \n━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ \n🚗 TRAVEL \n🚆 Train: The closest train station is Long Eaton Station\, approximately a 30-minute walk or 6-minute drive from the venue. \n🚗 Driving: If you are driving and have space to bring others\, please let us know or post on the Facebook page. We will offer spaces to people on a first-come\, first-served basis. \n🅿️ Parking: The main convention venue (Erewash) has a large car park which is free to use. The Pre-Convention AcroJam has a large paid car park around the back at NG10 1HF. \n━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ \n🎟️ TICKETS \nA booking link will be emailed to those who register\, with priority booking given to those who register during September. \nThis year\, we want to make our ticket pricing a little more accessible by offering a discounted Accessible price specifically for those who need it. Half of our Weekend Tickets will be available at a discounted price — no questions asked. \nAlongside our Standard Tickets\, we’ll also have a Supporter Ticket for those who can afford a little extra and would like to support NAC. \nSimply choose the ticket option that best suits you. \n🤝 Accessible Ticket — Full Weekend (Sat & Sun): £95 \n🎟️ Standard Ticket — Full Weekend (Sat & Sun): £110 \n💪 Supporter Ticket — Full Weekend (Sat & Sun): £120 \n⚖️ 50/50 Payment Option — Standard Weekend Ticket Only\nSplit the cost of your Standard Weekend Ticket into two equal payments of £55.
