SUMMARY:Standing Acro Convention 2026 | 17 - 19th July 2026
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Standing Acro Convention!\nCelebrating the ambition and creativity of all things partner and group acrobatics ✨\n“It’s everything I want from an acro event – great teachers and workshops\, safe and supportive environment and a real focus on community” (2025 Participant) \nHow does it work?\nThe event runs over three full days (9am – 9pm) from Friday 17th – Sunday 19th July. \nWe bring in the best teachers we know from around the world\, with intentionally diverse influences (circus\, gymnastics\, cheer\, dance)\, to inspire and offer techniques for different physicalities and skillsets. \nYou can improve your skills and/or explore new styles\, with a choice of workshop options including: \n\nduo acrobatics: static and dynamic skills\, hand to hand\, acrobalance\ngroup acrobatics: towers\, swinging\, toss\, banquine\, and group stunts\nadagio\, creative sequencing\, and dance acro\n\nPlus lots of extra opportunities to learn and connect outside of workshops: \n\nindividual coaching\nlunchtime banquine club\nlots of jam time\, including ability to use the longes\ngames\nFriday evening social\n\nThe aim is for everyone to have the chance to improve their skills\, have fun\, and be ambitious in a supportive and welcoming environment. \nYou can see last year’s schedule here to get an idea of what’s on offer. \nLevel\nThis event is for those with some experience. To ensure everyone can participate all attendees must be able to perform the following: \n\nStanding foot to hand with an unassisted entry and exit.\nSolo handstand against a wall for 30 seconds.\n\nWorkshops go up to advanced static and dynamic skills – one arms\, saltos\, dynamic 3-high variations etc. So there’s something for everyone\, whether you’re an enthusiastic hobbyist or professional acrobat. \nWho can attend?\nSolo\, duo\, or in a group – there’s no need to bring a partner. \nWe facilitate mixing and trust-building at the start of the event\, so that everyone can make some connections before diving into workshop options. \nWe also think intentionally about workshop placement based on the needs of solo attendees – if you look at last year’s schedule you’ll see there are always group acro options and workshops that don’t require prior calibration. \nFood:\nOnsite hot lunches (main + sides) are included as standard. We highly recommend this option so you can spend time training and socialising rather than finding food. There are no supermarkets or cafes nearby. \nDietaries are catered for (GF\, vg etc.) and you can write your needs on your booking. \nFacilities:\nThe shiny new sports hall is equipped with puzzle mats\, crash mats\, and 4 sets of lunge lines.\nGreen fields are right outside for a revitalising walk or breath of fresh air.\nShowers\, changing rooms\, and free parking onsite. \nAccommodation:\nUnfortunately we can’t provide accommodation. We encourage local hosting or teaming up using the participant Whatsapp chat. \nPayment Options\nA split payment in two installments is available to spread the cost\, with £100 due now and the remainder by 1st May. \nWhat did people say last year?\n“This convention allows me to improve my skills in an exciting\, fun\, and stress-free setting” \n“SUCH a fun event\, extremely well organised\, great vibes and a fantastic job catering to many skill levels (including professionals)” \n“It’s a great event led by great people where I can see friends (and make new ones) and toss them in the air. I’ve learned\, I’ve had fun\, and I’ve realised I can do more than I think.” \nAny Questions?\nContact us (Mabel and Michal) at @standingacro or mm.acrobatics@gmail.com. \n

SUMMARY:Edinburgh Acro Festival | 16 – 18th October 2026
DESCRIPTION:Third time’s the charm. All good things come in threes. Two’s company\, three’s a crowd? In any case\, we’re doing it all again! The third edition of the Edinburgh Acrobatics Festival will follow a similar structure to the last two editions\, except this time\, we’re in a new venue! And yes\, this one doesn’t have the world’s most aggressive air conditioning. This event is a fantastic opportunity for those of us in Scotland who usually have to travel far for a large scale acrobatics meet up. The teaching lineup will showcase some local Scottish acrobatic talent and you can look forward to workshops from teachers from slightly further afield who wouldn’t normally be seen out in the wild in Scotland. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis will link you to the timetable from last year which will give you a very good idea of what you can expect from this year’s workshops. The plan is to offer 8 taught workshops over the three days with a choice of four (or maybe even five if we sell well) workshops at each timetabled workshop slot. There will be at least one beginner workshop running throughout to ensure that even those without a strong acrobatic practice feel welcome at all times. There will also be one solo workshop on offer at all times so that you can work on your handstands and solo acrobatics as well. There will also be timetabled jams at the end of each day as well as a led warm up and cool down. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Venue \nAll three days will be in the same place in the Heriot’s Centre for Sport and Exercise\, Grassmarket\, up the Hunters Close\, EH1 2HJ\, Edinburgh EH3 9HE \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDates and times\n\n16th – 18th October 2026 Friday 1pm – 9pm Saturday 10am – 9pm Sunday 10am – 9pm \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTicket Price \n\nTickets cost £160 in early bird and £180 thereafter. Early bird ends on the 1st of June.
